Draw a food chain for a typical lake. Draw a food chain for the ocean. Draw the Nitrogen cycle and label the words (nitrification, nitrogen gas, ammonification, bacteria, fungi, decomposers, denitrification, lightning, ammonia, nitrates); also have plants and animals and show where the chemicals go and how they change. Use web sources!

Test on cellular respiration and photosynthesis

Test on cellular respiration and photosynthesis, make sure you know what the three parts of cellular respiration are and what happens in each (glycolysis kreb's cycle, ETC); also know the two parts of photosynthesis and what happens in each part (light reaction and Calvin cycle).

3-D bacterial cell project

Make a 3-D labeled model of a bacterial cell. Have part of it cutaway so you can see the contents and layers. General class does gram positive bacterium,; Honors does the gram negative bacterium. Show and label all the structures. Make it colorful so you can see the different labels and structures. Research at least three sites before you decide what the structure actually looks like, or what are the actual contents and layers. Make it so it hangs from a string. It will be graded based on completeness of parts, accuracy, artistic interpretation, You tube has ideas if you have no ideas for how to make it.. try to be creative. It is due Tuesday for full credit.
