carbohydrates

What is the general structure of a carbohydrate? What is the monomer for most carbohydrates? If each person in the class were a glucose molecule, then how would you form: starch, amylopectin,glycogen, cellulose, amylose(starch), Sucrose? HOW DO THEY DIFFER ? WHAT ARE THEIR FUNCTIONS?
